Prayer

Life is busy, mind is racing. Thank you Lord, I can come to You at any time.

Scripture (Psalm 142:1-2, KJV): 1. I cried unto the Lord with my voice; with my voice unto the Lord did I make my supplication. 2. I poured out my complaint before Him; I shewed before Him my trouble.

Song lyrics: My Inner Room by Lee Waire (Leap Over Walls Music, copyright 2005)

I have an Inner Room.

A place where I can go.

To say a heartfelt prayer, or

Just be still and know.

Here in my inner room,

There’s balm and cure for free,

soothing oil from God’s own hand,

anointing me.

You have an Inner Room.

A place where you can go.

To say a heartfelt prayer, or just

be still and know.

There in your inner room, where no

entrapments lie, commune with all

there is, and feel the touch of God.

I have an Inner Room.

A place where I can go.

To say a heartfelt prayer, or

Just be still and know.

God made this room for me,

a special, special place to be.

Alone with him,

Wrapped in His Word,

Held by His Love.

Mixing and Mingling

 Hey Everyone,

As a music company, we are always looking for talent-Gospel and Jazz musicians and singers. On July 12th I was fortunate to be able to attend The Jazz and Food Truck Festival-Gregory Burrus Productions,  at Monte Irvin Park in Orange, NJ. Wonderful music, artists and food. It was a great way to enjoy a hot, sunny beautiful day. Here's some pictures and video to enjoy.

Mom started this blog with one thing in mind, to provide inspirational messages to all and to promote Leap Over Walls Music library, music to keep your faith and your energy up, to keep trust in God during your highs and lows, knowing God holds your hand as you walk through the day. I am not the teacher that Mom was but what I would like to do with every blog, is to send out a scripture-message for the day and words to one of songs of the Leap Over Walls Music Library that I feel are related to the scripture. Hopefully you will get some uplifting support, especially in these challenging times.

"For we walk by faith, not by sight" 2 Corinthians 5:7(KLV)

Partial lyrics to song, Trust Him by Lee Waire:

How can you stand when your world is shaking?                                                                                        How can you laugh when your heart is breaking?                                                                                        How can you act like nothing happened-                                                                                                      When all your eggs broke--in the same basket!                                                                                            (Asking you) What can you say, with one voice against thousands?

How can you move when you're bound by the letter?                                                                                  Which way is up when you're floating like a feather--                                                                                  What must you do to get it all together?                                                                                                        Trust Him! Trust Him!                                                                                                                                  Trust Him! Trust Him!                                                                                                                                  Oh, trust in the Lord! Hit this link for Trust Him

Ev'ryday Is A New Day

This column has been writing and rewriting itself, in my mind, for quite a while. It is about a song called, Ev'ryday Is A New Day. I wrote Ev'ryday Is A New Day in 1987, not realizing I could have also been writing about a historical event that happened in 586 BCE (Before Christian Era). The fall of Jerusalem, the devastation of it's civilization, written in Lamentations, Books 1-5(Old Testament). In the Contemporary English version of the Bible, it simply says, Jerusalem sinned, they turned their backs on God.

Being led to find more spiritual content in Lamentations 3(KJV), I found the content I was looking for in Sunday school lessons and church sermons, etc. In Lamentations 3:21-25, Vs 21 This recalled to my mind, therefore I have hope. Vs 22 It is the Lord's mercies, that we are not consumed because his compassions fail not. Vs 23 continues, They are new every morning, great is thy faithfulness Vs 24 The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in Him. Vs 25 The Lord is good unto them that wait for Him, to the soul that seeketh Him

Honestly! So beautiful. So much hope after so much war. So much care after so much, "I don't care" (so it seems). So in the midst of no care, there is Grace.

Back to Ev'ryday Is A New Day. A new day, a day of Grace, a day you cannot pay for, a day you cannot work for, a day you cannot pray for, a meritorious gift from God. So sad, some of us don't even know that we need help. However, when Jesus steps through your cloud of sin and misery, it makes it a new day all over again.

What did Ev'ryday Is A New Day mean to me, as an individual? You see, I made up my mind as a youngster to follow Jesus, no turning back, so I am keen to understand His ways and His promises.

What did you have to do to get a new day? Shout and dance? Make new friends? Make new members in the church? Give away your possessions? Read and teach The Word? Maybe you have to do all of that, or none of that! What a God! Praise Him!

Drink in God's goodness and His love for you. His Grace never fails. I know you can make it, make it, make it, with The Lord.

Have a blessed and Happy New Year, much love from me to you.

FYI, we have original music and projects coming up this year and we're looking for a keyboardist and singer who works together, to work with us via Zoom or phone. If interested reply

Everyday Is A New Day 1987

This song was written February 1987. This song may have been sung once or twice by our choir of 5 to 6 members. Sounds like a small group. Strong and bold for the witnessing of the Lord. The song Everyday Is A New Day is about victory with Jesus, everyday a daily walk with Him. As you know, our blog showcases songs in the Leap Over Walls Music library. This week, this composer is asking you, what does the title mean to you. Even though I wrote it, I found out that the title could mean more than one thing to different people. It could mean, with Christ all things are wonderful from the git go. Or, all things are wonderful, because all things are the Lord's and he can fix it for you. You see, He knows your days beginning and your days ending. Included in this blog are life experiences of 3 people, who will briefly tell you what everyday is a new day means to them.

Life experience 1: A young college male had an altercation with a neighbor who was around his age. Since they saw each other daily, the situation only worsen over time. One day the neighbor pulled a gun on the young man. The neighbor attempted to shoot the male several times but the gun jammed each time. The young  college male escaped. We've all had those moments when God "jams" things for us. How did that happen? you ask yourself. Well children, it's time to get to praising God indeed. He's so worthy. Yes, He has jammed quite a few things for me (Jude 24).

Life experience 2: (About me) After a couple of years of working hard to get money for college, I made it into school. Then, out of the blue, up jumps the Devil. One of my teachers called me to her office, she shook her finger and scolded me for sleeping in her class. She threatened to throw me out of school if I did it again. I tried to explain that it wasn't me. Another student who was in the class, tried to defend me but it only made the teacher more angry. All I could do was to shut up. Later that day, I met the sleeping culprit. I told her what happened and I asked her to please stop sleeping in class, so I could graduate!  My sleepy head friend did not look like me, except we were of the same race, seated in the same row, 5 seats away. I let God fix it-ever day is a new day.

Life experience 3: My mother and my grand-aunt raised me, as I may have mentioned before. Let me tell you, when you have more than 2 generations under one roof, it's a history lesson all by it's self. Sometimes Auntie would get to talking, she would tell me about her life in the south. After Auntie's mother died, she left the small farm and made her way north by working as a cook, with the road gangs-they built roads. She made many friends and a few enemies. One night, she and the crew were cleaning up. A dark shadow fell across her back. She panicked and threw her arms over her head to protect herself. As she was beginning to fall, she heard this quiet, still voice, speak inside her, saying, "Tia!, it's a woman, fight her!". Auntie said that's all she needed to hear and she defended herself against another woman who had a knife in her hand and was cloaked in a man's coat. Auntie had took the knife away from the other woman and was coming down on the other woman when the crew members ran in and grabbed Auntie off of the woman. The other woman ran out. Auntie was cut, from her left ear to her right shoulder. It was a notable injury but she lived. What a testimony, that God will fight your battle and that God is always with you. I would say, everyday is a new day with the Lord.

Well, until we meet again, Lamentations 3:22-23 "Through the Lord's mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not". Verse 23 "They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness".
