For the courage to go forward, I had to take a moment to look back. In doing so I discovered I’d have been lost without You to guide me and protect!
Bright and Morning Star, I can’t praise You enough. For Your Love, and Your Caring,
Upon these things, I reflect.
A moment to reflect, Lord, about the lessons I’ve learned. How some lessons came again, and again, until I gained The Truth in them.
And, only then could I go on!
You said grow a little straighter, grow each day, a little stronger In My Love.
Just a moment to reflect on how great You’ve been. How great You Are.
You’ve been a shelter when I needed one, a cover from rain and storm. You’ve been a fortress all around me, turning away hurt and harm. You’ve been a watch while I slept Lord, at my front door, side and back.
When I think about how great You’ve been, I’m overwhelmed with how great You are.
You’ve been the kindness in a stranger when I needed a helping hand.
You’ve been my road made smooth and pleasant, when others walked a bumpy path.
You’ve been my fullness overflowing, from the well that brings forth life.
When I think about how great You’ve been, joy fills my soul with just how great You Are!
